I saw this linked from Moobunny and found it interesting. I decided to try it myself with my new 7448 @ 2ghz.

While new smart phones are much faster than all Amiga-like systems, my MOS PowerMac is heads and shoulders over OS4 specific machines. That is a little surprising to me considering how crippled the Quicksilver RAM interface seems to be.

    SunSpider 0.9.1 (smaller is better)
    Sam440EP - 21,360
    Sam460EX - 31,994.1
    AmigaOne X1000 - 5,729.9
    Powermac 2Ghz - 3,335.1

V8 Benchmark Suite - version 7 (higher is better)
    Sam440EP - 38.6
    Sam460EX - 33.2
    Powermac 2Ghz - 262 *

    * browser interrupted script 6 times asking if to stop the script, probably should be higher number

Another oddity. The Sam440 seems to outperform the Sam460? Weird!

Those two benchmarks are more of computational nature than throughput-centric.

    Indeed.
