Powermac G4 network device not detected

    Hello,

    is it possible that the onboard ethernet device of a PowerMac 3.1 (Sawtooth AGP 350mhz) is not detected during MorphOS fresh install? Only loopback adapter is listed.

    In that case it's easily solved with a cheap realtek pci card.

    Thanks for the answers. I will open up the case and see what kind of chip is inside.

    And, should I get a Realtek 8139C or D?

    And how to "disable" the onboard nic if it's not detected?

    Both C en D should work and should show up in your network preferences. There is nothing or no need to disable anything.
