Im having couple of problems, first my keyboard layout. Im using Apple Pro keyboard and finnish keymap, http://frontype.com/keyboarding/540px-Computer-keyboard-Sweden.svg.png the keys in red aren't functioning at all. I guess this is a Apple keyboard related? Is there a way to fix this? I really need the tilde key.

Ok, second problem. I have my machine hooked up to a stereo amp. Still, audio also comes from the internal speaker. On OSX the default behaviour was to mute the internal speaker, when 3,5mm jack was inserted. Apparently it's not a hardware switch :) I tried playing with AHI prefs, but couldn't find a way to mute the internal speaker.

Im really impressed with OWB, but whenever I launch it, my mouse cursor starts to jitter. USB stack priority related maybe? Also I'd like to speed up my scroll wheel, but fiddling with the "distance" in trident didn't have any effect on the scroll speed. Also, every other reboot my screen is totally garbage during the boot. Im using flashed Radeon 8500, (works fine in OSX).

I a?m using a USB pc keyboard wich I installed a driver for on the OSX side. I never had an Apple keyboard for my Powermac.

Unplug the speaker... who needs that crap thing anyway.

No idea about the other things ...

    @rNx

    1. Open System Settings->USB go to Devices and find your keyboard. The prefs aren't that obvious to use, but once you get to the third tab (afair), there'll be a switch called 'Show current value' or 'Sample'. Enable these and press the keys that don't work. This should show you whether they are recognized at all or not. Once you know which keys are these, you can change the key bindings for them.

    2. Hopefully the problems will be resolved by an OS update.

    3. Jitter could suggest you're low on vmem. Either switch to a 16 bit screenmode or disable Enhanced Display for the screen (System Settings->Screens).

Ok, so the keys work. But they are binded to blank and as far as I can tell, there's no correct key in the list. So they are missing from the keymap. Is there any working tool to set them? KeyMorpher doesn't work.

It's unlikely the mouse jitter during OWB launch has anything to do with vmem, graphics memory bar plugin says I have plenty (12mb) left. I thought It could be CPU or memory related, running "memtest disable" freezes the cursor completely.

Hm, afaik all possible key combos are in the list. I'll prep some screenshot in the evening.

As for the jitter - hard to say what's the cause if it's not vmem. memtest disable freezes everything by design (that's what the 'disable' stands for in it).

    It looks like this:

    keys.jpg

As you can see, there's no key assigned for 0x0C and 0x1B, they should be the keys in red in my first posting.

Well... that seems wrong indeed. Let's look at the third tab instead: it should generally look like this. If it doesn't, change the peformed action to Keymapping. If that's already set and yet the key doesn't work, you'll have to add two actions looking like this and this.

    Hope this helps :)

Which keymap do you have selected in Preferences->Keyboard? Try switching to English and restart the prefs application... Perhaps it's a bug in the keyboard definition.

I have finnish keymap selected, since I have a finnish keyboad. Selecting swedish didn't make any difference (they are the same anyway). I was able to test a Dell Finnish 105 key USB keyboard and the dead keys didn't work with it either. So, atleast with finnish keyboard, the dead keys are broken. Should i report a bug?

Edit. Aha, the dead keys are working... sort of. The behaviour is not what I'd expect though. The keys work in combination with other keys (like dead keys should) but not with the key itself. With KeyMorph I was able to see, that I can have tilde with alt + shift + "section mark" in my keymap. Is this intended behaviour?
