    Hello people!!

I just poped in to ask a rather generic question.. I intend to buy a pci usb 2 card for my peg2 and i need to know if there is any limitations on the chipsets or if there is a list of compatability of usb cards i can check in order to buy something that i wont throw away!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello Npanag!!

USB cards with VIA VT6212L chip should work. Some Trust USB cards have it onboard.
    I'm using a D-Link Su-520 (4 external port + 1 internal) and it works great.

    Hi,

recently I bought a PCI USB card with a NEC-Chip, which is more recommended.

    http://cgi.ebay.de/USB-2-0-Controller-HUB-PCI-Karte-5-Port-NEC-CHIP_W0QQitemZ160350324586QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDE_Technik_Computerzubeh?r_Kabel_Adapter?hash=item25559fc76a

It is about 10 times faster than the internal!!!

    Regards
    Robert

...ehm... checked my usb card.... =)
It has NEC chip. Don't know why I thought it was the other one...
Sometimes I buy pci cards just to test them and I guess I did the same with th D-Link, In fact, I remember that it didn't work with older Poseidon version but fine with Linux. Chris Hodges made a good work...
    Thanks Grooves for this tip!
