Since this topic was already used before, I will just steal this thread instead of starting my own new one.
I recently installed 2.4 on my Efika system and was pleased to see that it appeared to give me a few more mb of RAM after booting than 2.3 did, but now that I think of it, it could just be that some program, or driver that was installed with my 2.3 install was not turned on with the updated 2.4 install.
Anyway, that is not what I want to write about. I am having a problem with my Efika that used to have 96mb RAM after boot, now it shows between 40mb to 52mb after booting and I am hoping that it is not a hardware failure. Is there a way I can check for this from inside running MorphOS?
After noticing the RAM problem, I started having trouble starting the Efika, so I removed the Pico PSU and connected a small ATX PSU, but this did not solve the missing RAM. I then took my Efika completely apart to check for visible damage, but could see none. At no time did I see the magic smoke escape from my Efika, so I dont know if I have a hardware problem or if it is a software problem from trying to install something shortly after I did the 2.4 upgrade?
Any suggestions?
Edit: I also did a complete clean install of 2.4 again to see if there was any problems with the first update and it made no difference. (typing from Amikit v1.5.9 on my PC using IBrowse)
