    Hi,

I have to choose a 2 GO ram set for my pegasos II.

    I have two solutions

First - two modules of 1GO

Second - one module of 2GO witch is very very expensive.

My question is: Does Pegasos II work fine with Two ram modules?

    Thx.

You should probably stick to two gigabyte-modules.

I don't think MorphOS will handle 2 GB, but Linux
    should have no problems.

If you have actually 256 or 512 MB on your Pegasos, you can buy 1x1 GB, it's very nice on MorphOS.

If you have already 1 GB on your Pegasos, a 2 GB module is very expensive and not very useful (only 1.5x GB will be active and no MorphOS software use such among of RAM).

BTW, 2x1 GB don't work for many users. Personaly, I can't plug my 1 GB module with my other 512 Mo module on the Pegasos.

from my experience, using 2X1Go on my Peg2 was pretty useless unfortunately. I used 2 ram modules that were strictly identical, MorphOS could use only 1,5Go (which is too much anyway ! there's no use for such an amount of ram in MOS, which is a good thing) but on linux (Gentoo and Debian) i was having some compilation errors. Removing one of the sticks (one or another) solved the compilation issues. no more errors.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Hi guys,

I'm recording all weeks a radio program about UFOs :-)
I'm doing sometimes 4 or 5 hours of streaming mp3 records with AminetRadio.
I do this records all by night when I'm sleeping.
Then, I have to edit the records to clean them.
When I load a 2 hours MP3 on PSA with 1GB, The ram goes to 100% full with 90% MP3 loaded.
So, I need more ram to load my very big files.
I would be nice to have some virtual memory like VMM on classic.
I'll buy 2 X 1GB whishing they work fine together on my peg.

Serge : Make a new project in PSA and use your HD for it instead of ram. It will work (I hope ;-) ).

Or try "smart saving" with anr then you get a few mp3 files without the jingels and music inbetween.

Sorry for the off topic but is it a way to stream mp3 on AminetRaido and then broadcast em to people? -somehting like WinAmp shoutcast on the PC-? I did a similar quesiton in another topic but I got as a answer -and thanks for this- a not so usefull piece of software with losts of limitaitons and it was for classic Amiga. If I find a stream solution for my Peg2 it woud be great I am going to set up a really good Amiga / Pegasos radio :)

With AmiNetRadio you can only recive Streams but you can't broadcast them.

@ThePlayer...true but I think 99% of users only want to receive... :) So no worries. ANR works fine for me receiving internet radio... in fact I am listening to a stream now with ANR on my Pegasos-2 and it works fine :-)

I just did a backup of my 1.4.5 sys: so I am ready for clean install of MorphOS 2.0 :-)
