Hello everyone.

I have tried to install Morphos on my amiga 1200 for quite some time without any success. So i have finally connected my amiga to my pc to get a debug-file. I have tried different resetlevels both 1 and 5, but no luck. It seems like the computer reads the entire startup-sequence but it doesn?t reboot. It is supposed to reboot after the startup-sequence? I have tried with both scsi and ide harddrives. I use SFS 1.227 on both disks.

Hi,

First of all try to boot up from the ffs partition.

Tell me, which Mos PUP version do you use?

Version released on the 6th June won't start with A1200,
you must copy from the version from Ferbruary such a file:

"Boot:rom/module.com1

It should start without any problem, also try not to change the resetlevels, stay on the default settings.

I use the latest version of morphos released 06/06/06, so it seems like i have to get the old release. But where can i down load it? i couldn?t see it on morphos-homepage. Do i have to replace all files or just the modules? I tried to boot from a FFS partion, but nothing happend at all. It was stonedead. Going to format it to SFS again tonight.

have you disabled MapRom from the BPPC early Boot Menu?

and then what do you mean with IdeFix97 installed and why?

I have installed Idefix 97 because i have 3 ide-drives on the standard ide-controller.But i haven?t installed the software on the morphos-disk. And yes, i have disableled the maprom. I also start the computer with 6 minutes pauses to minimize the risk of software to being present in the ram.

So basicly, i have only the idefix-controller and not the software. And according to the morphos development you only need to install the idehack-module with homemade controllers, not with bought versions.

whatever the developers says, the idehack module doesn't make my homemade 4way adapter, work with my setup (A4000). Only the first channel is recognized)

agrhhh...have problem whit mouse on moS powerUP...MOS booting OK..after that mouse work..When i strat any progy on MOS..my mouse stop working..yeah strange..system not freezing only mouse not working....pointer I can move only whit keyboard....any know what is reason for that???

Is it possible that your mouse fears your rat avatar?

Now I try reinstall MOS..Install on partition only last MOS powerUp version..whit mos.key and ROM3.1 in DEVS...the same..MOS booting mouse work OK...start miamidx or other app...mouse stop working..and pointer I can move only whit keyboard but scroll on mouse work...

On OS3.9 all is OK!!

When you say that you reinstall it, do you mean that you formatted the MOS partition and installed MOS from the original CD? In that case, i don't think that i can explain it.
You can boot with ScalOS just to see if this is an Ambient problem.

hmm..NO i not format partition...Only move my "old" MOS system files to xxx dir and on this partition install new fresh MOS (I mount last image file whit MOS powerUp files)..that is all...

Loading OK..but when strat some progy miamidx,ib,prayer muse,pointer stop working... I'am crazy dont know what is problem..

Before 5-6 days MOS works perfect on the same HW..no upgarde...

Now start MOS ...run apdf,picshow,dopus,fryingpan..all OK...run MiamiDx,Ib,jabber,prayer (when push play)...bump...mouse is dead :(
