One of the reasons that made MOS die or, at least, that made the illusion to use an alternative OS die in some of us, is the absolute lack of a professional response in some of the people that developed commercial software for the platform. I was one of the few fools that bought that thing (I don't want to give it a name here) called Papyrus. It's almost impossible to make any decent use of it. Then I decided to register frogger. I sent the money a couple of weeks ago. I still haven't got any code or response whatsoever. Is it so difficult to read and answer emails? I'm tired. I'm back to BeOS and Haiku.

I believe there have been a few rather big changes in the authors life (including moving to another country) - that might explain.

    Sometimes it is, yes

in that case the author should have made a notice on his site to say that there would be delays due to his personal circumstances and maybe disable the online payment service until he can cope to at least email customers. I'm sure he found some precious time to spend the money he recieved.

I have send you keyfiles 3 times already, also responded to every single email you have send me. Not a single bounce, so I assume they were delivered. Check your spam folder maybe? Or give me different email account where I could send you your keyfile, as this one obviously is broken.

Once I settle myself again in Poland Ill put new frogger release, but do not hold your breath.

    Hi all,

Frogger, i'am a long time user. It was the animation viewer which
plays the most formats. Nowadays, there's MPlayer 1.0pre8-2.95.3.
I had a Frogger, 1.67, i believe, which was able to play Realmedia movies.
The codecs were ripped from a Linux distribution from Ronald. Anyways,
i like a new version. At my homepage http://www.angelfire.com/amiga/ex is
    a link to Frogger.

Well, I do not have reasons to assume you're not being honest, but it seems strange to me that you answered an email I sent you on January 7 asking if it was possible to register frogger. Yes, it was a long time ago, and I didn't register then, but I did 2 weeks ago, and my email address was the same, the only one I've been using these last years. Anyway I don't intend to get into an argument with you. I'll send you another address.

There's no reason to believe elf is anything but honest, the problem is most likely either a misconfigured spam-filter, or that your ISP is using a bad "spam blocker" (f.ex. GMX is one of those) that affects innocent SMTPs...

Speaking of which... I have problems contacting/replying to Martin Blom. Seems like all mails sent by me to his "at blom org" address is going nowhere. Does somebody have a different (and working) one?

(As of Papyrus: I bought it, installed it, started it once and decided I'd rather stick to FinalWriter97 that to that piece of crap, which didn't even come with a CD cover, nor Amiga specific manual. So much for my attempt to support commercial software.)

    Hi all,

It is really possible that some sort of spamfilter blocks. Once, i couldn't
download a lha archive from hotmail.com, because hotmail.com says the E-mail attachment was unsafe !
Then, the lha archive was send to another E-mail.

That was finally the case. The mails were in the bulk folder (where I never look, as this had never happened to me before).
Elf, My apologies if I cast any doubt upon you. I didn't mean it. It was just that I didn't get the emails (even though you had sent them) and I got upset. Hope you continue with the developement of frogger some day.

I just breathed a sigh of relief! I sent my reg.net payment for
frogger registration yesterday. Hope I get my keyfile soon!

I just want to hit 'play' and watch DVDs on MOS..

Can Frogger act as a 'real' DVD player, that is, play DVDs like a
commercial player where the disc's menus and features work?

    Hi guys

    1. Elf is an honest person and serious Amiga/Morphos supporter. We are lucky to have him.

    2. There is NO program that can show DVD disk menus for MOS.. Latest builds of Xine for LInux can however. To get the features you can use MOS ver of Mplayer and Guess the track number they are on.

You may want to install Ubuntu Edgy on your Peg2, you can use Xine and decess and watch commercial DVDs with full menu support. and it works OOTB

    3. Payprus - <sigh> well it had potential. I Alpha tested it and it had bad crash problems, but when it worked it seemed like it was going to be a solution for an Word type program. It seems like they stopped developing it and they sold Beta versions.

4.Platon - try to ask "HammerD" he talks to Martin alot.

No, infact Frogger doesn't play DVDs at all (it can play the VOBs off an unencrypted or ripped DVD though, but that's not the same, and will not work correctly (the IFOs contain alot of info too, which you will lose this way, and special features like angles, seamless branching, etc will mess it up))...

The issue has been solved already, it seems Blom has similar issues with his email. ;)
