    Hello all,

I just bought a second (well, third) hand April 2 Pegasos 1 from DBAlex, so I thought i'd say hello on Morphzone.

As you may be aware, I'm an OS4 user & betatester. I bought the Peg for no other reason than it was cheap enough that I could justify purchasing it just to try out MOS.

I still love my A1, and I very much doubt the Peg will replace it as my #1 computer for doing Amiga-ish things, but I'm sure it'll fit nicely into my computer collection.

Anyway, my first question (and the board hasn't even arrived yet ;-): Does MOS support any SCSI cards? I ask because I have about 6 IBM SCSI disks kicking around and it would save me buying another ATA disk.

Welcome to the peg community... You AmigaOne days, are counted :P. Nah, just joking, its nice to have all points of view around.

There a are some scsi cards supported, but not all of them, of course. Some symbios cards are supported. For more info about this, and other subjects, you can refer to the pegasos book. Its located here:

Welcome to the other side too ;-)

I too tried that last year, but two fellows I negoatied with withdrew their sale for a bigger bid.

    Enjoy your time

Ahh well, if the ACK, Troika, "Samantha", mystery device, or Shark ever appear, you'll have another chance to become "purple" :-D

(what? why are you all looking at me like that? 8-D)

Anyway... now I have to find someone giving away a case to put this thing in.

Congratulations and smart purchase! I think over time you may love MOS and use it as your main machine for "Amiga" over the A1. There is more software and support for it imho.

FYI We have SCSI cards in stock that are known working and tested with peg and mos (even peg1) they work with Linux and Morphos. we have a couple left NEW! Symbios 895 UWSCSI boards 80mb/sec data xfer! Fastest possible for ANY Amiga OS. Great for xfer from Amiga SCSI drives to peg. Only $39.95.

Actually, thats more than I was hoping to pay. I'm probably going to just get a cheap IDE drive off eBay, since I already have IDE cables etc. I'm not going to invest any real money in the Peg since A) The A1 is already serving my Amiga needs, and B) I'm getting married at the end of september which is costing me a fortune.

    This is cool!

Has ever Craig Barret (Intel's CEO, I think), welcomed you to their community when you buy a Pentium3? :P.

    Nice people, nice community ;).

Well, I'm posting this from IBrowse 2.4 in MorphOS 1.4.5 using MOSNet.

MorphOS is quite impressive; I like the alpha effect on the mouse pointer, screen refresh is in some instances faster than OS4 (although usually the same; instant. I found OS4 solid resizes IBrowse with less flicker, though).

I think OS4's installer CD is a lot nicer than the MorphOS one (more detail on my homepage soon ;-) ).

I really don't like any of the included skins for MorphOS, so I guess I'll download one from somewhere.

    hi!

    welcome to the dark side:)

there r os4 skins for morphos with perfect mui settings!
    guess you'll like it:)
but why dont you make a new one, best for your taste?

at the fisrt times of mos there was a "skin boom" but it seems it has been stopped for now...
is there a good website wich collects all the released skin for mos ( i mean all of them:)? and what about the unreleased ones - why r the makers sitting on them?:)

with symbios logic 875 OF doesn't want to appear :(

btw. try to register at http://developer.morphosppc.com/ and download free Morphed version and morphos sdk (with many *nix tools)

I really dont know why mos team insists on keeping 875 chipset as compatible with MOS - the driver does NOT work (testing several 875 boards) BTW we have a nice Symbios 810 in stock for $19.95 us!
