I wonder what one can do to tweak some more speed out of the pegasos-II/Morphos combo?

is there any? besides HW hacks to overclock...
is there any DDR RAM setup programs available?
is there any CPU setup programs available ? (Besides cpu)
is there any OF tricks or treats?

    Ok..

    in order AFAIK

    1. NO
    2. NO
    3. NO
    4. NO not for speed

ps why do you need overclock? for what application?

I think RAM timing is kept solid for biggest compatibility, so there will be room for improvement, but I don't know how, and bplan won't tell us...

I don't think where I could use more power under MorphOS, even MAME oder E-UAE run sufficient for me.

Here is another question about RAM speed, if we put a DDR module with a 2-2-2-5-1 time setup, that are stated to be faster than the normal modules like 2.5-3-3-6-2, can OF use this "extra speed" in this kind of modules? is there some var in OF to check if the module was recognized by SPD RAM module settings and is working with this settings?.

I doubt it. Main problem is bus speed. This is not an x86 board....

as soon as you add anything to a computer, be it a harddrive or a cdrom drive etc. (or heaven forbid some more/new memory). it means that you have done something that the manufacturers doesn't know a squat about and can't forsee, which means you must be able to tweak it, to get the optimal performance out of it.

for instance memory... even if they state that two memory packages is exactly the same (The same speed and latency etc.) it is very unlikely that they will out of the box deliver the performance (and this is even more so on a relatively slow computer as the pegasos... because most memory packages is designed for faster FSB's etc.) actually if there IS a computer where you need to be able to tweak the parameters of the memory, cpu etc. it is on something like the pegasos, something that is slower than the norm etc..

for instance check the modules of amigamark and even though they state that they use roughly the same hardware... the performance is quite a diverse showing.
some G4's not even performing at a G3 level etc. (even though they should be at least 1.3 times faster etc.)
