Hi,

there might be an easy solution to the problem using the Raptor SATA disks (or any other SATA disk). You could try a SATA <-> ATA converter board. I found these for less than EUR 20 in stock.

I also have a raptor and such a converter, but just a Pegasos I G3 600. So it would be a waste using this fast disk on a rather slow machine, but I might try out if it works.
