Pegasos1 Manual

Is the manual for the Pegasos 1 available for download anywhere (I can only find the manual for the PegII on the Genesi site). I just bought a Peg1 off eBay and need to know the details for the headers on the board so I can hook up the power and reset buttons etc.
Also, does the PPC750 aka G3 chip run fanless or does it require a 40mm commonly used on GPUs and northbridges?

    Thanks,
    Edward

Had a Peg1; the board layout is pretty much the same as the Peg2 (and the headers on the board are the same IIRC -> I got a Peg2 manual with my Peg1 and after hooking everything up things worked ;-) )

And yes, the G3 on the Peg1 runs fanless.

Thanks for the fast response. Time to pull out all of the spare bits I've got lying around and throw togerther a testbed machine untill I can afford to build a brand new one.
I know the G3s in the older iMacs ran fanless but the heatsink on the Peg1's CPU card had screwholes for a fan that look like theyve been used (paint stripped off) so I thought I had better check, don't want to kill it on the first use... ;-)

    Thanks again,
    Edward

AFAIK no fan is needed... mine has been working for days without fan, and didn't even lock up...

Since you're a new member of the Pegasos/MorphOS community, I suggest you check out The Pegasos Book; it contains a lot (!) of usefull info:

I've been reading it but there is little reference to the hardware, particularly the Peg1.
I may help with the english translation, although I don't speak French my english skills are pretty good (pitty about my spelling ;-)) and I can rewrite what is there at the moment to be a damn site more legible to a native english speaker than it is. That's not to say taht the work that has been done isn't fantastic but it needs improvment which is where I may be able to help once I've got the system up and running.
The main reason I bought the Peg is for development so just about the first thing I am going to do is get GCC from MDC installed on it!
