I have buy an extra Hard Disk for ma Pegasos, but I have a problem...
At first boot, OF "see" this HD normally, but if I reset and reboot again, OF don't recognize it anymore and not see it! :-?
Also: if i start MOS, the HD seem disappearing from hardware list, no matter if first it was recognized by OF. Also seem it make trouble to boot Linux during hardware detection.

Hard Disk model is a Samsumg, 80 Gb, ATA.
Maybe is a problem of incompatible hardware?

Maybe there are some model of new Hard Disk not compatible with Pegasos Board?

  • Try using the drive on its own cable

or check the cables compatable or the master/slave/cable select settings are correct

Chech to see if they are the same modes like ATA100 and not different ones this can cause problems too.

    Cheers
    Robert.

I've got the same problem from time to time. What I did: I just unplugged power molex from my dvd drive and system boot without any problems, after that I switch peg2 off and I put molex back to the DVD drive and system boot fine. Anyway it's very strange :-)
