Netgear MA311 works :-) (I've not yet tested
the new driver ... from the news it seemed the new
    is updated for OS4 only ;-) )

I bought two of the cards from Amigakit.com. I tried it under MorphOS and while it works, it slows down after awhile and becomes too slow. Perhaps a MorphOS Developer could look at the source code and fix it.

I think wireless (working properly) would be cool.

does the prism2 driver work correctly on MorphOS with the latest OpenPCI libraries?

I was planning to buy 3 cards for MOS use, but we are unsure

I tried it a while back in my Peg2, and it worked with WEP.
But I've not yet found a Prism2 card supporting WPA, so
there is no need for support in the driver/OS ;-)

you're right Robin, i should have thought of it by myself.
Prism2 is kinda obsolete, i'd love to see drivers for more recent wifi cards. it's always harder to find some older hardware, unless u wanna pay an absurd price at Amigakit (how the hell can they sell such expensive obsolete hardware).

    @Robin:
Have you noticed the problems described by HammerD? I'm planning to buy some wireless cards at amigakit, but as these cards are quite expensive I'd like to know if they work correctly. If the driver causes slowdown I'll get an ethernet access point.

I have used it for two month or so. And MiamiDX had problems
to renew it's dhcp-address ... but I cant remember having
    other problems.
But I'd not tested with lots of data, so I cant say for sure.

WPA is usually (always?) done in software. I think Prism II can support WPA. The closely related Hermes chipset certainly can. However, supporting WPA or newer cards would involve a lot of programming. With the Prism II, most of the work (for non-WPA operation) is done by the card's firmware.

In order to use WPA, you first need a card firmware that's able to deal with TKIP encryption and several other WPA specialties.
I think there is such a firmware for PRISM II, but I don't know for sure. For Hermes-1 chipset, a firmware V9.xx is required for WPA.

Second, the driver must support WPA.

Third, a supplicant is required that handles the WPA protocol (i.e. PTK/GTK handshake).

    My experience :
I had troubles getting it to work, now it works OK but I generally don't leave my Peg turned on for long periods and I don't use much bandwith (I download from bittorrent and NGs on my other machine).
The problem I found, and still haven't managed to fix is that if Miami is started too early it will block the prism driver. I have tried many things such as initializing the driver at beginning of user-startup and setting Miami's startpri very low, with no effect.
Now I start Miami manually form my favourite toolbar prog.
I haven't heard of anyone having the same problem, maybe it's because I use Scalos as WB?
    My config : Peg1 April2 MOS 1.4.5 Scalos 1.42 NetGear MA311
