You cant disable UDMA. And advantages of UDMA are greater than possible data trash, anyway. 50MB/s vs. 16MB/s with heavy CPU usage? No way.

Ethernet trash will happen still but TCP handles those and fixes errors automatically. It can slowdown Internet access to few kilobytes per second, that is all. Some lockups may occur but it is not too bad. The network traffic wont corrupt.
