It is not too bad. Only major issue is DMA trash due to lack of cache coherency. But in my experience it is not big deal with proper precautions. After all, I developed lot of software with my unfixed Peg1 board (I got Peg2 only few months ago). Always make sure you have a working backup of your work.
Certain combinations of gfx card and tv card wont work but it is not big deal.
