The following was mis-posted into the news by ossian1961, but I found it rather interesting--so it has been moved to an appropriate forum:

I take advantage for a forum post to report the Zling Slot 128Mb USB 2.0 with a SD slot(til 1 Gb) by Z-Cyber compatibility with MorphOS even with no Native support. Here the url:

    and here the shot:

I connected the Zling to the PEG 2 USB port and immediately the volume icon appered and with the feature "view as all files" I could see the tracks inside. :-D

    Thanks Thargan,
I uploaded two Ambient grabs to show Zling in action in the Ambience section.

I successfuly tried another portable mp3 player, the Thomson Lyra PDP 2448 of my sister. The player is 128Mb plus a SD slot and usb connection, for more information visit http://www.thomson-lyra.com site. I think that the other models are compatible too. Take a look of my screenshot in Ambence section with AminetRadio playing the Thomson tracks! :-D :-D

Thanks for the information. I have found several models since my last post , now I need to pick up one with making sure it supports FAT32 (seems to not be the case with the RIO mp3 players).

I am also looking for a small GPS, but I guess that in this domain we have nothing :-?

I tried a cheap Trekstore usb flash player and it worked instantly. They are quite cheap (at least in
Germany, about 40 EURs for the 256 Mb model) and it accecpts normal
AAA-cells (make sure to use NiMH cells only to protect your wallet and
    the ecology!).

Also the IRiver HP-120 is reported to work with Poseidon. That is
one not really cheap (comparable with iPods), but seems to be worth
it's price. It is said to be the most audiophil MP3 player out there
(can record digital and analog in full quality, has a strong line out
(no weak bass, but a linear frequency curve) and replays ogg also).

My iAudio U2 1GB works great with MorphOS/Poseidon. I like this player
a lot, of course there are many cheaper players around but I wanted
something that lasts. Audio is superb, size is really small, build
quality is great, user interface very good, and plays ogg of course. I
also wanted a built-in battery, which is clearly something where
    opinions differ.

I've heard some people say that the radio is not that great. I don't
know, it seems better than my old iRiver mp3 cd player, I don't have
any other "modern" mp3 player to compare with. The only thing to watch
out for is the mp3 recording, you don't want to use it for encoding
when you can use a real computer (but Ripper is much better than any
such device can be anyway, so I don't care). Of course, for voice
    recording it works just fine.
