    You should be careful with your RAM.

    The OpenFirmware boot configures your RAM based on SPD values and good guesses - if you put in a PC3200 DIMM to a Pegasos, and it does not have SPD values for PC2100 operation, it will run at PC3200 latencies (noticably CL3 or CL2.5 instead of possibly CL2, plus lots of other timings you would never read on the label).

    The speed penalty for using "Super fast Overclockers RAM" could be as much as 10 to 15% compared to just ordinary PC2100.

    The best RAM to get for your Pegasos is the fastest PC2100 RAM you can get. If it says CL2 PC2100, it's good.

    Remember; the frontside bus is 133MHz and the RAM is clocked at 133MHz (double pumped). Faster RAM will not clock the bus faster. If you DO overclock your G4 (I do not condone this) then using faster RAM will not change a thing, since the bus speed stays the same.
