    hello!

    I've just purchased peg2 and I must say, that I'm *amazed* by its speed. It's flying! Not all of my old amiga apps are working well, but I was able to launch most of them under my new Morphos 1.4.2.

    By the way - I've encountered my first problem. There's no sound at all! :-?

    AHI is installed and configured to use pegasos.audio, but there's nothing more then silence (I tried many apps using AHI). Help me please! What can be wrong?

    best regards,

    resp.

    welcome! :-)

    For your problem: start sys:wbstartup/pegasosmixer and save your settings. This should do the trick.

    Unfortunately - I saved settings of pegasosimixer, but there's no change... :-(

    Another strange thing is, that when I connect speakers to sound output (green one?) thre's 100% silence, but when I connect them to audio-in (red one) there's small noise... I suppose that it should be opposite? Is it normal?

    thanks in advance,

    resp.

    Try the following:

    I. Make sure you have connected your speakers to the correct auio out. There is mic, audio out, and headphones-out. headphones are also a greenish color. (have made this mistake myself.

    II. Check AHI again.
    1. Settings->System Settings
    2. Main Prefs Windo_>AHI
    3. Check Pegasos:16 bit stereo++
    3.a) Volume 100%
    4. Save (if needed) exit.

    III. Look at the settings in PegasosMixer.
    1. Menu->Utilities->Exchange
    3. Select PegasosMixer (if it isn't there, it's been moved from wbstartup, and need to be found and put back in the proper place).
    4. From Exchange, use "show interface."
    5. Look for the volume control of each item, but more importantly, see if anything is muted. Note again, the headphone jack on the back of your Peg is also a green color.

    6. You should be able to save/exit.

    I hope that was of some help.

    Thank you Targhan for advice. I did it all, but unfortunately with no result...

    But it's working now! The sound dissapeared after upgrade from 1.4.0 (shipped with board) to 1.4.2. So, that was the clue... I've finally lost hope to fix it other way - booted from CD and re-installed whole morphos as clean install (not update) and it works now! :-D

    Thank you all for help anyway.

    Now I can really enjoy MAME with this incredible speed! But it's pity, that UAE works so slow with sound turned on...

    regards,

    resp. (very happy user of peg2 :-P )
