Hi,
THe default fan on the G4 CPU Card that comes with Pegasos is too noisy. I would like to mount another cooling solution but first I would like to have some information about it:
- At which temperatures does the G4-1000 operate? When idle and high loaded?
- Is a fan really needed? There are very successful northbridge coolers like Zalman NJ47, can I use them?

- Does the G4 have a self protection against high temperatures? Like shutting itself down or slowing down the system like the P4 CPU's? So if I apply a passive cooler, will the G4 explode without letting me know?
- Are the holes around the G4 CPU based on a standard? Will a cooling solution like this fit?

It's a great thing that Pegasos comes out with Cool Computing slogan. Well it is cool, but at the same time noisy, just because of the CPU fan. I want Cool and Noisy Computing :)))
