    Hi guys,

I've just got my PegII up and running, now I'd like to try to get it online...

I have an ADSL connnection, with a dual modem USB/Ethernet. The USB is plugged into my notebook and I kept the Ethernet plug for the Peg: I read around that it would work with MiamiDX, right?

But where can I find this program? It seems to have disappeared from all the sites with download links... (the demo version) Any alternatives?

Also, do you have any special link that explain to novices how to configure the stack (with DX, or other) for Peg, as it already seemed quite complicated a few years back on my A3000.

    Thanks!

Miami can be found on the aminet, split into several archives. A MUI archive, core, and I think an 020 or such.

You could also use the AmiTCP+Genesis Demo from the aminet.

You can also use the full version of Genesis:

You can also pick up a copy of Genesis from a retailer that may still have the CD in stock.

Another way to get it done is to snatch Genesis from a copy of the AmigaOS 3.9 CD; then, replace the reaction gui from the Genesis Demo (mui version) that lives on the aminet.

I haven't been successful getting PPoE to work with Genesis, but with a router--you can give it a static address that will work. Dig around in the FAQs for some more info.

Remember that only with MiamiDX it is possible to connect direct with PPPoE. But register MiamiDX is impossible these days. Best way is a Router or waiting for MOS 1.5

    Hi all again,

    Another quicky:
Looks like my ADSL modem can actually act as a router... with a static IP maybe?

Can you confirm by looking at the link below?
    http://www.speedtouchdsl.com/prod530.htm

Would Genesis or Miami suffice then?

    Cheers,

    Please help!
I'm stuck with the mountain of parameters in Miami, and cannot find anywhere a guide to help...

    A few questions:
    - My modem is online all the time and seems to login by itself now it's been confired with my notebook. Is definitely is a router... any further params I need to change to get it to work on the Pegasos?
    - Within the Miami settings, loads of options... what to choose???:
    - Interface: what to chose? SANAII ethernet? what device and unit? IP type, netmask, gateway... where do I get those?
    - Database: do I need to enter anything in there?
    - TCP/IP: all these options... anyone important? is my username the usual login I use to connect on my notebook?
    - Socks? Needed at all?

Otherwise, could anybody using ADSL through a router send me his prefs? or a few screenshots of the various config panels?

Thanks for your support, I really can't wait to put my Peg online and stop using the laptop, ever!

    Cheers,
    JBB

Use SANAII ethernet with via_rhine.device and query the mac address.
The rest of the Parameters are as usual.
    Miami.guide explains nearly everything.
