I have a Realtek 10MBit PCI Ethernet card (RTL8029AS) and I've problems with using it. I tried to configure my existing, and with onboard working ADSL internet connection to this card in MiamiDX (just have selected the rtl_8139pci.device), but it couldn't connect. If I make a new hw definition, miami can't open the device/unit if I want to ask device for SANA-II parameters. What's wrong? I bought this card because of it was on the compatibility list. (The reason: I have a (***) pc too, and I want to share my ADSL connection to it. (PS: Why is the onboard 1Gbit card still not supported??)

That's great...but why anyone doesn't use a cheap external router for this is beyond me!

It'll certainly be faster than 68k emulated application and they come with other goodies such as firewall, traffic blocking etc.

If driver is 68k maybe it could be ported to MorphOS? :-)

That driver dint work because the 8139 driver is for a 100Mbit card with the 8139 chip. The card you have is the 10Mbit card and uses the 8029 chip. Not the same at all.

Yes, it is clear, but then webmasters should modify the FAQ-s on the MZ about this topic.

BTW why is the onboard 1Gbit card still not supported??

Well my guess the Gigabit isnt ready yet is its not a top thing. The other one works, and your not going to get Gigabit over the net.
