I have a Radeon 9200 and a Princeton 19" lcd monitor. How would I go
about defining a screenmode of 1280x1024 with 32 bit color. All of
the appropriate selectors and requestors seem to be ghosted.

    Thanks!

Well, I managed the 1280x1024 but I cannot get the Ambient screen so
that it's entirety shows up on the visible monitor. What setting
    would affect this?

    Thanks again!

dunno exactly. But probably best is to set up a 1280x960 screenmode in settings->modeedit which runs with 60Hz (which is optimal for TFTs).

1280x1024 is not a monitorresolution with squarepixels. Dunno why such odd resolutions are standard for TFTs. :\

In ModeEdit, make sure when you define the mode to pick the "VESA" version, and not the highest refresh rate you see.

Some LCD monitors are incredibly picky about refresh rates, and anything off-standard stops the "auto-size" algorithm from working properly (so it puts the screen off the right or makes it too small)
