The compatibility lists do not contain any information on U160 SCSI controllers (160 MB/sec.). Can anyone tell me, which one can be used with Peg-II ?

AFAIK There is no U160 card for Pegasos. However, you are in luck we have some nice Symbios 895 cards UWSCSI2 @ 80/mb sec that are fully tested and working with PEagsos and Morphos and Linux.. send me an email or PM if you want one.. Only $39.95 + shipping...

If you can find a 32-bit PCI U160 controller, with drivers for Linux, then you'll be fine.

For MorphOS - you have to be kidding :)

THe cards I have are LSI Logic cards. Very high quality UWSCSI up to 80mb/s!! Works great with MOS. Should be bootable never tried. Also works very well in Linux and Mac On Linux. For $39.95 + $15 worldwide air shipping you cant beat the deal.

As far as U160 unless you are doing RAID arrays for Video work or for Servering Net content why would you need that much speed on a desktop machine?

U160 and U320 boards are PCI 64 bits cards

concerning 895 boards, I've a tekram board based on this chipset, it
    works quite fine under mos

but : (test it please magnetic)

    * If I set the sync bit on a HD with SCSIconfig, the symbios.device
crash on boot (do the test with an empty hard drive)

    * I got hwerror If I try to boot from CD or HD from the SCSI
    controller...

I can confirm I had the same problem on my Peg I. I had to manually set sync. after the fact...dunno about magnetic.

I've removed my SCSI card as I was mainly using it for xfering my Amiga drive data. I had to take it out so I could add other pci cards, I ran out of slots - so no testing atm.. :-(

However, I have sold some to some guys and they probably can give you help with those..

I have a HP ScanJet 4c connected externally and a Yamaha 8424 cdrw internally on mine.
I'm using the Symbios 895 cards UWSCSI2 that Magnetic is selling. I did have to buy adaptors for the two connectors on the board. (One internal, 64 pin, one external, 64 pin VHDCI.) I converted them to 50 pin. I have to boot with the scanner turned off but it works great with Betascan.
The only problem I have so far is that the CDRW doesn't read for now. I think that's just a setting or maybe a dosdriver like on the Amiga.

Glad you are enjoying it! Thank you. A few more people have ordered as well and will have theirs soon so more people to give data here! I had a nice Seagate 18gb Baracuda hooked up and it was screaming fast!
