I'm free to do what the MorphOS developers wish for me to do for as long as I have this machine, but seeing as this model has such limited use case and only has the options of running either Mac OS X or some abandoned Linux distribution, I don't plan on keeping it.

https://morphos-team.net/hardware hardware page has never listed the ATi Radeon X600 Pro as a supported GPU, so the 17-inch model with that GPU will not be supported until drivers are written for it, which was my seeming suspicion long before starting this thread.
