good news, I’ve figured out how to use a 1Tb SATA 2/3 SSD by installing it in the PowerMac G5’s SATA1 B bay (I left the 1TB HDD in the less compatible SATA1 A bay).
Although I can’t take advantage of SATA2/3 mode, but only SATA1, I’m still getting a respectable 130 Mb/s for both read and write speeds, while I wait for PCIe SATA 2 controllers to become available for the PowerMac G5 as well.
