Hi there,

My Mac Mini becomes very noisy with the G4 1.5 GHz at 51 degree Celsius.
I don't know if it is better to put a new thermal pasta or a pad es. 50x50x0.5 mm.
There's also a pad for the ATI chip, should I change it with a new one?
On the bottom there's also a Hynix memory chip and a big Agere chip, should I add one more pad?

Do you plan to come at a gathering this summer ? In 2 weeks, in France, there will be the NASS at Surgères near La Rochelle, https://www.nass-4a.org/?p=nass.html . I have the same problem as you and I wrote here a subject about it, https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=13832&forum=11#159509 . I will come as every previous years. With the help of other persons present there I will clean the thermal past and the little and rare fan. About the thermal pad for ATI chip i have never find any. Try to ask for it at Apple but It is absolutely not sure that they will/would still have that. If they have it at which price not too high.

Have a look at this youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COcJsucxZPM . The guy performs a deep cleaning of a macmini powerpc. Maybe will it help you to clean your cpu and his fan.
