Hi everybody, i am new in morphzone but i used morphos long time.

A week ago i bought an ibook

G4 1.42 / 142 mhz / 512 KB
14 Inch
1.5 GB Ram (512 mb onboard, 1 gb slot).

I changed HDD to SSD. I tried morphos; working well no problem.
But when try to restart or reset machine didnt recognize 1 GB ram. Working only 512 MB.
When i shotdown computer and start again working 1.5 GB Ram. I tried full Ram Disk, 3D games etc no problem. After reset / restart it didnt see 1 gb slot. It is the same on macos too. I tried to reset nvram and pram didnt changed.

Sounds like a loose or broken connection on the RAM sockets.

Try removing and inserting the memory bars a few times. This will clean the contacts. If available spray some IPA (Isopropanol aka 99.9% Alcohol) onto the sockets and insert the ram a few times to clean the pins.

Also check if the memory bar locking mechanism is working properly. The bars should be firmly in position without any wiggle.
