Sure but yours is a QuickSilver (or earlier?) while he claims a windtunnel MDD. So a tiny bit faster (bus) and whole lotta extra noise. Only issue is the MDD never shipped in 933MHz but jumped from 867 to 1GHz.

Power consumption shouldn't be that bad unless he is dragging around an unused 2nd CPU which he would be doing if it really a MDD since most were DualCPU, except for the 1x1.25GHz 2003 model. There also was the 1x1GHz but that was "FW800" not "MDD".

Are they slow? Depends mostly on the GPU I'd say and the default Radeon for MDD/FW800 was a 64MB 9000 which is better than any Mini.

So some clean up should produce a somewhat useable system about as restricted as the Mini.
