At least the T1042 version can be directly compared to the X5000's P50x0 based on the clock rate as it's the same e5500 core (in 28nm rather than 45nm process node, though).
And while the e6500 is slightly faster per clock than the e5500 in scalar code and has AltiVec SIMD in addition, it's maxing out at 1.8 GHz compared to the 2.2 GHz of the X5000/40's e5500. I wouldn't be too surprised if 2.2 GHz e5500 proves faster in real world usage than 1.8 GHz e6500.
