Sounds similar to the final failed reboot with my iMac when the SSD was kinda failing.

Swapped SSD with the one from a MiniITX PC I use for Linux and BOTH systems work without problems.


Something something TRIM I'd guess, which you might get fixed by either putting the SSD into a PC or installing Linux (since OSX10.5 won't help) to defraggle the drive.


On the PowerMac_G5 I still use an ancient Seagate hybrid drive which just as good as a full SSD for something as small as MorphOS while doing all the magic on it's own.
