Hello, I got and flashed a generic Sil3112 SATA controller from ebay with a Mac firmware. Now is controller visible in the Mac OS X Tiger, installation of OSX10.4 was successful on SATA disk, everything is perfect.
But a MorphOS 3.18 installation doesn't see any disks on Mac, only a DVD (on internal controller), but the Sil3112 is in PCI Control Menu listing : Class : Unknown SubClass : Device Does Not Fit Vendor : 0x106b Device : 0x0033
In installation is not detected.
Is the Sil3112 supported on MDD in MorphOS ? Or is supported only on another Amiga HW. As I wrote, I have only one disk in my MDD on the Sil3112 with MacOSX running.
I used common firmware 128K for Mac for flashing ... Thank you for any info about it. f.
But the question was different ... 1/ Is any SiL3112 on MDD 3,6 or 3,5 supported in MorphOS ? Or is supported only on another platform 2/ and if yes, supported, which FW is used ? Filip
Hmm, as I wrote, it is visible in OSX, and OSX is installed on the SATA and booting. But is not visible by MorphOS. Is possible to share/share link/info about 128K firmware ?
All mentioned roms are visible in MorphOS either. Here you have few roms (big thanx to the dosdude1! for extraction and patching): https://dosdude1.com/files/macstuff/PCISataROMs/
Hi, I deslodered, flashed, soldered back the eeprom on SATA Sil with pointed firmware. Mac OS X boots normaly from Sata SSD, MorphOS same state ... no storage... Class : Unknown SubClass : Device Does Not Fit ... in PCI boot. It is strange because you reported that FW works. I changed disk from SSD Adata SU650 to some small rotation disk from NTB, what I have and it is visible in MorphOS, then PCI information about Class and Subclass seems to be irrelevant for reading disk in MorphOS. If disk is not recognized in MorphOS, then sata bus card is not displayed ...
Ok, then this is now about looking for SSD disk which is visible in both OS, Mac + MorphOS. Thank you f.
