It always depends on your needs.
I still prefer my trusty old 2001 PowerMac 933Mhz with 1,5GB RAM. With two displays connected to it and an standard SATA-SSD it is my personal work horse.
Sure it is not the fastest systems, but I use it for all MorphOS development. Sure compiling is slower, but I tend to cleanup my cove while compiling anyway, so no bummer. I do not compile big stuff like email clients of browser.
Also a slower computer is in my case a good thing, as I instantly see if something could be improved speed wise. :D
