Efika does have a standard CR2032 battery onboard, but I'm not sure if swapping it with a new one would solve your problem. If the battery was dead/dying there would be also some other issues (like not being able to save the system time). Some even say that a bad battery in Efika could make MorphOS ignore the registration key.

I can try (with looking on debug), but with other card - 9200 - Efika works.

The coin baterry is new, I changed it, because the original one have 0.8V.
    Thanks for ideas.

The back-up battery (NV-RAM-backup) does'nt have any influence to that problem. If she goes weak, sometimes EFIKA can loose/change it's MAC, so that registration-key won't work any more (Koszer wrote it). That mostly can be solved by power-on EFIKA without battery and mount a new one during EFIKA is running. In some special cases it does'nt switch back - then you need to contact MOS-Team for a new key-file (that happens to my first EFIKA).

PSU: Should check your capacitors of PSU......

@sailor: I'm curious what will happen to serial log at booting your different cards.......

    Hello,
    I tested four Radeon cards:

I have no idea why these HD4350cards doesn't work.
It looks like x86 emulaion not works with them, and Efika not continue to boot without graphical output, but stays stucked.
I had somewhere older cards FirePro 2200 PCI (RV620) and X1300 PCI (RV516), if I found them, I will test them also.
Here Andreas wrote, that all chips newer than RV370 are with bridge chip. If it is true also for PCI (not only AGP), it means, than PCI version is not the option for Efika.
The only card I found in PCI version after Radeon 9100 and 9200 is FireMV 2400 PCI. It have RV380, so probably also with bridge. Not to mention, that this card cannot be compatible with MorphOS.

I think you should ask MOS-Team about that. Maybe also X86-emulation of Efika is different to Pegasos.

Don't have these "AtomBIOS"? Meaning they would work with MorphOS IF you get past OF hangup AND if they got their basic PCI config from OF.

AGP builds up on PCI so it's safe to assume that all cards after a certain point will have to use a bridge-chip.

As for the OF, the EFIKA is newer so that may amount to some changes. Also lot of things simple didn't make sense to be included with it.
There was always just 1 IDE and 1 PCI(AGP) device to be possible so it is possible that they removed something to make place for other features.

Actually, what I wrote is that all PCI/AGP cards with RV370 and newer (not "newer than"), except those with R420 and R481, have the GPU, which is PCIe, behind a bridge chip.

    > If it is true also for PCI (not only AGP) [...]

Yes, of course it is. I explicitly referred to PCI cards such as your HD4350.

    > FireMV 2400 PCI [...] have RV380, so probably also with bridge.

    Yes.

    > this card cannot be compatible with MorphOS.

RV380 is also what's on Radeon X600 XT, which is supported by MorphOS. It's also the GPU of the unofficially supported iMac G5 iSight (PowerMac12,1). Thus, the FireMV 2400 can be compatible with MorphOS, unless somehow omitted from whitelist.

yes, they have AtomBios and work with MorphOS. And AmigaOS. Here Hans have blog with the same card.

You are right. I check the PCI card, and there is bridge chip on it: PEX8112. It is recomended chip for AmigaOS, as RadeonHD is optimized fot this.

It can be, of course. I will test these two more cards I have somewhere, and then select something more conservative like AGP R200/R300. ;-)

Looking at the printout from the HD4350 it seems that it crashes after NOT finding a HD which could suggest a HW problem.

EFIKA are known to be extremely sensitive when it comes to using any kind of adaptor/cable on the IDE, while that may not be the case here it could be that the GFX card is dragging some signal down to the point where it won't work on IDE.

Not sure how mach power that card draws, but testing with a different (bigger) PSU might be worth a try.

Used HDD is old, I have it here for testing only. It is directly connected and it works with Radeon 9200 and 9700PRO. In this case is also message ATA not present, but booting continues with emulation:
    Code:
ATA device not present or not responding
    EMULATION INT HANDLER ENTERED WITH:
    INT NO: 15

With HD4350 cards it stops and cannot enter emulation and returns tangle of chars:
    Code:
ATA device not present or not responding
    CCCˇTŐ2 aőÁÁÁÁaőÁÁÁÁaőÍÍÍ́MAőÁÁÁÁ AőŐŐŐՁM%őŮŮŮف%őÝÝÝÝ555)aő aőÁÉĹ aőÁÁÁÁaőÁсMAő́ Aő ÁM%őĺ偁%ő á555)MőÁÁÁMőĹÁÁÁMMőĹÁÁÁMőÁÁÁ%AőÁÁ9YUAµµ99i9A=9555)Mé%AőŮفMő сMő ŐQI]%Q!m9QIu˙44

Message "ATA device not present or not responding" is also on Amigaharry2's log: here. It looks like it is "normal" ;-).

PSU is powerful enough - 650W on testbed, quite new. It is not the issue. And powerdraw of HD4350 is smaller then 9700PRO.
All pointed to Efika's "simplification", as you said.

    I used X1900 G5 with PCI-PCIe PEX 8111.
And I think, (but not sure) that this powermac version have no Atombios.

Now it looks like cards with Atombios are stucked with Efika, and cards behind PCI-PCIe bridge are mot visible. ( On Pegasos cards behind bridge are not visible for OF, but they are recognized in MorphOS).

Would be interesting to know if this card works with MorphOS on the Pegasos II.

Correct, it has a PPC ROM.

In Efika + graphics card, here is little insignificant progress ;-)

Serial debug result is the same as result from working cards: 9700PRO and 9200.
X86 emulator seems to run an don't stuck (like with ATOMbios cards).
But, unfortunatelly - no video output. Nor from OF nor from MorphOS.
    Tested with DVI and VGA.
    Any ideas?
Maybe try PEX 8112 bridge, but I have no one.
