    Personally, I don't for the boot drive.
    And outside of being able to access big drives like some of the 2TB Western Digital drives I have, FFS2 has little to recommend it over SFS.

    So when I switched to 2.5" drives, first to smaller standard laptop drives, and later SSDs I just stopped using alternatives to SFS.

    I guess I just don't have that many files on my system, but then I keep a USB drive adapter and have played around with non-native file systems (like ext2) on those for storing big files like video (that 2 GB file size limitation IS a PITA, and 4 GB is only barely adequate).
    Supporting those non-native formats is particularly useful when you want to exchange files between different systems with other OS'or if you store all your media on one drive you swap between systems.

    But then, to each his own, but if an FFS2 file system encounters an error...
