    Hi!

I use MorphOS on my Peg I without Problems. And the speed of Peg I is also good for standard usage (email, browsing, dtp).

    Greets!

I've only made some short tests of MorphOS 3.10 on my Peg1, and I didn't notice the whole system would be any slower, but I have certain issue with overlay windows (like on MPlayer). This issue is known by the team.

Is your system generally slow or with just certain things? What's your exact setup, gfx card etc?

What video card do you have in your Peg?

Radeon 9100. It's been OK with earlier MorphOS releases, and there's a certain work-around for this specific issue, and it will most likely be OK in 3.11 again, so no worries with this case ;)

Yes, that's a neat card. Faster than the 9100, basically a 8500 rebaged.

Well, if you've posted a bug report it should get acted on.
But it sounds like gpu based overlay is broken.

    I have 3 Pegasos I with ATI Radeon 7000 . All Morphos < 3.10 work fine .
ATI Radeon 9250 work not .

first the mouse move slow and freeze , a window open in tree times and slow .
the keybord give more letters then i press like ttthhiiiss .

install via iso on hd takes 30 minutes of time normal 2 minutes.

So for the Peg1 under 3.10, R100 good, R200 not good. Oh well, confirmation anyway.

The 9100 is a rebadged 8500LE, slower than the (full) 8500.

Clock speeds? Yes slightly reduced, but the gpu? Still more powerful than a 9000/9200.

Now that's a statement I can unreservedly agree with :-)

If I understand work ATI Radeon 7000 not good (R100).
    If I buy a ATI radeon 9000 or 8500 or 9100 (R200)RV250 .
Work the Pegasos I fine with Morphos 3.10 ???

You could try to copy the Radeon monitor driver (SYS:MorphOS/Devs/Monitors) from the 3.9 installation to check if this solves the problem. Would be a good confirmation that you don't have other issues as well.

Radeon 7000 is a horrible card, so in any case I'd recommend to buy any other card :) Well, maybe not 7500 either, but ANY other besides 7xxx card :)

There might be some other issues with other cards too with this current release, but I'm sure these will be fixed for 3.11.

They weren't that bad when introduced, although I did notice that the Rage128 Ultra did seem to produce a superior picture and some elements like "fog" were rendered better.
But hey, this is the root of the Radeon family, if I'm not mistaken something ArtX employees hired by ATI created.

ATI acquired ArtX in 2000 to create the R300 GPU family.
