two extra USB ports. It doesn't draw USB from any of the "free" ports, but from ADC, so there are 3 ports on the computer case plus 2 ports on the back of the Cinema Display then.

Nope, my 20" Apple Cinema Displays don't have ADC connectors, only DVi, plus the USB and Firewire connections, so it does use one of the existing G4 or G5 USB ports on the rear of the system.
