    Hi All, sorry if this has been answered before. i just installed morphos on my powerbook g4 model A1052. I can not seem to see any wifi connections in the network area? is it because my powerbooks internet adapter doesnt work in this os? sorry if i am asking something asked before. As i say i am new to this os and beeing a long term amiga fan i really wanted to use this os. This is teh reason i just bought a g4. thanks

    It's quite possible that the A1026 or A1027 cards are unsupported via MorphOS - certain cards, probably all the Airport Extreme cards of the A1026/A1027 type have the BCM4306 chipsets which Frank Mariak (cyfm) states are unsupported with MorphOS, so you'd have to use an external wi-fi card in the PCMCIA (PC Card) slot to get wireless to work, or just use Ethernet which works well.

    A1027 works just fine. It's A1026 that uses slightly different chipset and is (currently?) unsupported. If that's the case then just swapping it with A1027 will do the trick.

    I thought the issue initially was confined to the A1026, but from the thread I mentioned above:

    Read post #16 by lerche, he has an A1027 and his card wasn't recognised it seems - in fact you (koszer) were the one who supplied him with the info about the Atheros5k PCMCIA wireless card after he had reported that his A1027 wasn't recognised under MorphOS, and I just thought you'd have remembered that, but hey we are only human.

    Strange indeed... It seems I've missed his mention about A1027. I have both A1026 and A1027 here and the latter works OK while the first hangs the wireless prefs. Could it be possible that some A1027's are based on earlier Broadcom chipset?

    Do you guys happen to know which pcmica wireless. And is compatible with morphs. I don't want to buy the wrong one.

    Sorry ignore me. I found an answer on the post you linked. Ordered one off eBay. I hope it works. Now I just have to start learning this os :)
