    Hey guys,

Using a powerbook - 1.67ghz model - the trackpad behaves strangely. Has anyone else noticed this or figured out a workaround?

Basically, the cursor tracks horizontally quite fast but vertically quite slow.

Additionally, the cursor will occasionally jump across the screen, typically far to the left. Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

    Thanks!

Try lowering the sensitivity in Touchpad settings.

    Is it a 15" or a 17" Powerbook? Model?

I've had some issues as you've described using my A1138 (15") with MorphOS, but I will also try lowering the sensitivity in the Touchpad Settings, as suggested by jacadcaps

It's a 17". Lowering sensitivity helped a bit, but I think the geometry still feels a bit weird insofar as how quickly it traverses horizontally vs vertically.

    Thanks guys!

I've not adjusted my A1138 Powerbook Trackpad settings as yet, but I'll report back here as to any improvements once I've changed them. 8-D

Saying that the Airport Extreme and other Wireless solutions seem to not 'make the most' of any signal around with MorphOS, compared to Mac OSX - maybe it's Apple's Interference Robustness that helps I can't say/know. However, MorphOS still seems to need some improvement in that area. and whether it's a bit more work that's needed to get the Trackpad driver to be 'honed to perfection' I don't know, but I think a little bit of tweaking might be beneficial, and probably might be in the works - though I don't know as we're still waiting for v3.10, and it has been quite a long wait by MorphOS standards. ;-).

It could be a nice Christmas present, but a wonder if this will be corrected. I mean, it seems to me that the strange behaviour of the trackpad isn't considered as a bug.
