I'm nearly sure that this had been on topic before - but I can't find it.
The fans do work - that means I can browse the Net as long as there
    is no advertising.
Playing games for max 5 mins. and my machine is at 60 degrees celsius.

help wanted ! thank you !

Clean the cooler and the Fan. Then put thermal paste between the cpu and the cooler.

Some of the best advice I ever got from one of the MorphOS Dev. Team members, was to purchase replacement parts for my G4 PowerBook while they are still available and somewhat easy to find. Specially the parts most prone to fail, like the cooling fans, the Power Management board (can't remember exactly what its real name is), and the SuperDrive DVD writer.

Replacing the cooling fan assembly is sort of a PITA, but can be done with patience and the right tools (torx & phillips screw drivers).

If you can find new replacement fan assembly for your PowerBook, I would suggest just replacing it, instead of only cleaning, as it is many years old by now and because the trouble to take it all apart, it makes more sense to replace, instead of only cleaning. That is if you can find replacement parts that are new, or refurbished with new fans.

60C is pretty normal for a PowerBook.

OK but I can't hear the fans spinning higher, that is why I shut the PB
    down when it gets hot.
Is there a way to test the fans ? maybe a test program even if its on linux or
OSX. Before tearing apart my PB i would like to be sure that its a hardware
    failure.

Would you like me to find out the cost of shipping for you? Which exact part would you like?

    :-)

Shipping to Germany from N.Z should cost 15-30 euros max.

I wont charge you for the parts ;-)

Let me know if you're interested
