    Hello,
I upgraded my Powerbook with an SSD.
Now I would like to boot into MorphOS.
I am following the guide from here:
    Guide
when entering the boot-command, I only get the lines:

    Loading ELF
    DO-QUIESCE finished

Then the process halts and nothing else happens.
Is there a way to check the machine?
    Where can/should I have a look?

That looks like you have successfully loaded the boot.img, but for some reason it doesn't load the actual ISO image. I'd double check the "bi umsd0:morphos.iso" part of the command line, if it really has the correct filename for the iso when comparing what file you have on the USB stick.

Ok, did several attempts, same result...
From the boot-guide I see more CPU Output, is there something about that?

I exchanged the USB stick and installed 3.9 successfully.

Problem with app like OWB, which fails due to missing iconv.library.
The file is there, so what to do?

Humm.. never heard or seen that kind of problem. OWB should work out of the box. What does "version iconv.library" say? Is the md5sum of your library this: 9c60fbf3d4a1f84595c40ecd8255eda5 MorphOSBoot:MorphOS/Libs/iconv.library ? Does it work if you try to run it when booted from the installation ISO again? Must be some file corruption at some point I think...

    Version is 3.0 31.03.2007
But md5 differs, while iso md5 seems fine...
Is there a Tool out there that does md5 compare?

Ambient: Just right click on information. Inside the window you can calculate the md5 for the file.

You can also make the md5 visible in all ambient listers. Right click on the title of the file window and enabled md5.

At least it works that much that it gives the version number, but when md5 sum differs, it's quite suspicious. Did you try to copy the library from the ISO to the HD? And is there more files which may be broken and why...

I don't know if there's easy way to compare md5 sum of lots of files, without making some script. But there are other programs to compare binary integrity of files... you could try compare installed files to ISO files with Rival for example: http://morphos-files.net/find.php?find=rival
