I dug out an old Sun Socket 939 system I haven't used in awhile today and noticed that it had four 1gb strips of PC3200 memory in it. If I install this in my G5 (which I'd like to expand to the full 8gb) will this extra memory interfere with the system's correct operation under MorphOS?
I know only 2gb will be recognized (and only 1.5 gb used), but is it OK to have a G5's memory completely expanded?

Edit - I have got to do a better inventory of parts and systems I have laying around. I just found two more 1gb strips, so I have 6gbs total on hand and the final two strips can be had on eBay for $14.95 with free shipping.

I still need a replacement for the X1950Pro video card I damaged though.

It shouldn't interfere with anything. From what I understand, modules have to be in pairs on the G5 starting from the inner sets on outward. First set to boot up the G5 is the two inner memory slots. Install the memory and see what you get. :)
