Hello, I would like to use my iBook with a external monitor. I have a 1.2Ghz iBook running MorphOS 3.7. I know there is a hack that allows an iBook to connect to a exernal monitor with out mirroring the display, but is it possible to connect a monitor and have morph OS recognize it? The cable I'd be connecting is a mini vga to vga.

    Thanks,

    robdun.

Edit: What I want to do is connect my iBook to a external monitor and use the monitor intead. I don't want a multi-monitor set up. I only want to use the external monitor and have my iBook closed.

There is no direct option in MorphOS 3.7 actually. Some people have tried to add more modes to the standard mode file and made it work to some degree.

I just plug in my 27" monitor and It syncs reasonably to my 1440x900 powerbook screen. I loose maybe 50 scanlines off the bottom but no big deal.
However, there is no direct support for the external port yet.
