    Hi there,

my powerbook did arrive today and to my suprize the display is kinda broken.

Look at the pics. Now i wanted to ask if it is possible to fix this. I have the feeling that this is only the beginning. Sooner or later the display will be completely broken.

    It looks like dead pixels.
It should be stable; might be due to some bad pressure at some moment.

Anyway, you can replace the LCD panel easly:

I will try to reverse the transaction and send it back to the seller and get my money back. This is hardly repairable and i wouldn't have bought it, if the seller had told me. Selling will be impossible without losing a lot money, because the machine already had a MOS Key.
    I hope everything goes well.

Don't worry. The pictures might look terrific but it is really easy!
I did it twice; it's a matter of 20 minutes.

I dont think that this is a dead pixel problem. Looks more like liquid damage to the inside of the front display layer.

I dont have the money to change the display or the knowledge to do so. The machine was sold as "no visible damage" except for some minor bumps at the case, which were clearly seen on the pics i got, before buying.
