I can't get MorphOS 3.6 working on my Powerbook.
    It is a Powerbook 5.9, 17", 1.67GHz G4, 2GB DDR2 RAM, ATI 9700 with 128MB, 120GB SSD.

I already had a stable working system with MorphOS 3.5 (with the exception of the heat problem when playing 3D games).
I upgraded the installation to verson 3.6: Downloaded the ISO, burned it on CD, booted the CD on my Powerbook, selected Install and afterward update existing installation. No errors reported by the installer.
After MOS has booted the system freezes. The screen doesnt get black or anything and the sound has no endless loop. It shows the current screen with the current opened windows but the machine doesnt react on any mouse or keyboard inputs. The caps lock LED or num lock LED wont light up when pressing the corresponding keys.
I cant reproduce this with a specific action. It doesnt matter what I am openingor what I am clicking...

So I bootet from the 3.6 CD again (MOS tryout), but this freezes also after a few seconds or 1-2 minutes.

OSX 10.5 works as usual without any freeze of the system.

I would like to do some debug, but I dont know how...

Did you use any WiFi card with 3.5 before? Since the WiFi driver is the only driver area where MorphOS 3.6 has really big changes, you can try to disable WiFi (in network prefs, untick the wl0 interface) and see what happens. Just an idea, but random WiFi activity as external source of some interference in the background could explain the "randomness" of the crashes.

Also, booting MorphOS after OS X, without powercycling the machine could also explain such behavior (the wireless hardware is not being reset or set up properly, for some reason).

Of course this is all speculation, but it might be worth a try.

Since you have multi-boot system, I assume you installed boot image to correct location, and aren't booting with old one? (Not sure what would happen in that case... Not tried with recent versions)

Also, when booting from CD/DVD, be sure to properly select it as a boot drive (by f.ex. holding ALT when starting the system & selecting optical drive), otherwise it might use boot image from hd instead.

You are right. I disabled the wl0 device and used again my wl1 (atheros) device. Now the system doesnt freeze anymore. :)

    But why?
Is the new wifi driver unstable?
Maybe some conflicting old settings? How can I cleanup these settings (kinda factory reset)?

Sorry I didnt explained it well.
On the build in HDD theres only MOS installed. No OSX at all.
I am booting OSX by an external Fw400 HDD (just for have a test system which works resliable stable and to ensure its not a hardware failure)
