Order of the Butterfly

I upgraded to 3.6 to take advantage of the airport built-in Wi-Fi, but noticed that ny ASUS wifi network adapter works much faster; it must be that it has a better built-in antenna and my Mac MIni is too far from the Wireless Router.
Is there a way to default back to my ASUS adapter instead?
