the problem happens when I start an audio file video goes into standby, I have a sb live pci may be that it conflicts?

Many moons ago I had a PCI Radeon9250 + SBLive in my QuickSilver and the GFX was slow as hell.

AFAIR moving the cards into different slots reduced the problem, but offcourse I never got the performance I would have gotten from a proper AGP card.

The consensous was that it had something to do with IRQ-conflict, no idea wether that has been fixed by now (was on 2.6 or 2.7 back than).

Maybe you should consider replacing your 2 crappy "just good enough" cards with 1 properly supported AGP Radeon9xxx....

when you have the chance buy a good agp card
