    Still no specifics unfortunately, but at least a semi-official confirmation (by minator) of April2 not fixing all the bugs:

    "April partly fixed the problems. April 2 fixed some more. April 3 would have fixed even more but it was so expensive it was abandoned. (I worked for Thendic/Genesi back then)."

    Had to challenge my convictions here. I would also very much like to see Morphos on Arm or
    even Risc-V and continue to exist on the fringes.

    But going for the currently largest and most powerful platform might be the wisest course
    of action as it would probably attract the largest pool of potential serious developers. I would suspect most dedicated programmers on "lesser" platforms are already married to other long-term projects and as such would be mostly unavailable.

    From there the road to other hardware is, at least a little closer than it would be otherwise.

    Maybe... I don't know. I'm just some guy.

    There were some things that couldn't be patched away, like the very poor AGP performance as well as there were no reliable way to get G4 CPU's work at higher speeds.
    MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
    MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)
