Ye, the Leopard webkit was a better experience.
And while I like TenFourFox, I still use OWB primarily since I would prefer to be in MorphOS9rather than OSX).

I will also agree with Yasu on the importance of a good web browser, so naturally I look forward to any improvement in OWB.

    >"it's not up to us but to him

Of course, I have never been disappointed by the MorphOS developers' decisions so I would differ to them.

Same here of course. For me, testing (and benchmarking) TenFourFox has the primary purpose of determining what a JavaScript JIT could bring in terms of browser speed for MorphOS running on the same hardware.

Yeah, webkit didn't really cut it either.
JIT JavaScript would be a nice improvement.
Its curious, as support for PPC Macs under OSX wains I'm finding that I greatly prefer to be running under MorphOS.

So it really bugs me when I see posts on sites like Amiga.org that suggest NG OS based systems can't replace mainstream systems.
OSX and Windows only when I have to.

    It seems 3.4 has:

    Welcome news.
I will have to do some research and find out which models have a 66mhz PCI slot for my Voodoo3.
It looks like it might be easier to use two video cards in these G5s than the later PCI-E models (when they are supported).
And a few tests I have made on cards we might see support for after the R300 makes me think the AGP models performance should remain on par with the PCI -E models anyway.

    Update:
Unconfirmed, but it looks like any PCI or PCI-X G5 should handle a PCI video card (although that may lower the operating speed of the PCI-X slots).

So the PCI-X slots work too in 3.4?

I just assumed so by the structure of Andreas' response.
But PCI-X is little more than 133MHz 64 bit PCI so it probably would not be that much of a challenge.
And the only cards we currently have support for are PCI.
So that was the assumption I made, PCI cards in PCI-X slots.

I mean to use a PCI card too (a WiFi one), but I have a 2.5 GHz June 2004 G5 model with only has PCI-X slots.

So far I've tested SBLive and TP-Link TL-WN350G in my G5 2.7 - both works fine.

    Useful information.
I guess I will pull my SB Live listing on eBay.

Awesome, I'm about to get a TL-WN551G for my G5 too. I already have one in my Pegasos II, and it works great in MorphOS.

    What about the TL-WN350GD?
Is that basically the same as the TL-WN350G?

The D in the name only denotes the detachable antenna. The MadWifi compatibility list can be used as a reference (the 802.11g cards): http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/Compatibility
The MorphOS/AROS/AmigaOS4 driver uses the same Atheros HAL.

I seem to be only on topic, G5 end model is only PCI-E model until SAM460ex support.

Which cards can be expected to be supported?

I need to know since I want to buy LOW PROFILE card, expensive ones, to fit it into Lorianos
X500 case now with MOS keys

    So, Radeon X1600, Radeon 4000HD, Radeon 6000-7000HD?

    Actually your pretty much offtopic....

Sofar only G5s with PCI-X and AGP slots are supported (PCI-X being backward compatible with PCI cards).

The only PCIe based G5 that has beeen seen running MorphOS sofar has exactly 0 slots (mmm, well actually there might be some (PCMCIA-style ?) slot for AirPort and/or BlueTooth modules).

Well I have a nice fat prob and that is that SAM460ex has no free PCI slots (need to use SATA controller) and is picky on gfx cards - just some X1600 and 4000HD or better needed.

And that is certainly part of development path, Jah is no secret?

Because of the required PPC ROM it will probably be (a subset of) those Radeon cards working in the PCIe PowerMac G5:

    - X6xx
    - X8xx
    - X19xx

    > Radeon X1600, Radeon 4000HD, Radeon 6000-7000HD?

Not in the PCIe PowerMac G5 models as there are no PPC ROM versions of those cards.

There will be more supported from the X1xxx series than just X16x0:
