    Hi guys,
I'm new here, I've just registered. Some of you may know me from Amiga.org.
[damn! just got a Jehovah's Witness ringing my doorbell in the middle of typing this post, lol]

Now, I'm not sure if this is the right place to come and post, but this morning I decided that I want a Pegasos. (Is Morphzone just for discussing MorphOS? - I haven't really read many of the Peg forums, would there be somewhere better for me to have posted this....are there other Peg forums?)

Now, having either not really been interested in nextgen Amiga or sitting on the fence for about a year or so. I've finally come out on the side of the Peg - I was leaning that way for a while, but for some reason, this morning I just made up my mind. Would it surprise you if I said I was put off the A1 and OS4, not by the crippled hardware, or the interminable wait for the OS, but by the users?!

So, can someone tell me - is there anywhere in the UK or Europe stocking it at the moment - I understand production runs get snapped up pretty quickly, and can anyone give me some good sources of info? I am not the most technically minded person on the planet - well not compared to computer geeks anyway, but am not stupid either :-D

    All the best

Hello cyberus, welcome to morphzone and the (blue camp). You could always try Versalia of germany. I`ve had good luck with them.

    Hello cyberus,

welcome in our community. If you need a (very much) detailed description of the first impact of a user with a PegasosII and MorphOS, and of the overall compatibility of legacy applications with this environment, you could go into the Tutorial section of this web site (https://morph.zone/modules/sections/), where you can click on the "Dr.Office" subsection to get access to my review "From Genesi(s) To Revelation".

Welcome :-) You've found the heart of the MorphOS-Community :-D
There are some local sites, but MorphZone & MorphOS-News are
the two main sites for staying in contact & informed :-D

This weekend was a german amiga meeting and Axel Knabe,
a german pegasos reseller had boards in stock:
    http://www.knabe-bueroservice.de/

:-D And after an amiga-weekend with about 50% Pegasos
computers, I guess you've chosen the right side ;-)

Welcome to Morphzone! This is the right place to post about the Pegasos and MorphOS. There is also http://www.ppczone.org for discussions about Linux on PPC in general, and on the Pegasos in particular.

I think you will find the Pegasos to be a very interesting computer! May I ask you what you are going for - a G3 or a G4?

MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

What it proves is that you have WAY TOO MUCH time at your hands. Even the amount of sw you released proves that!

    @Hooligan:

look, you're wrong _again_. I'm a very busy person and I don't have much time. I even need a personal mz-upload and news-spreading assistant (Hi Stevo ;) ) because I don't have enough time for doing this stuff.

But I guess you're going to copycat me again and you will have tomorrow an assistant too. He'll leech the p0rn for you (and thats something I can't - and don't want to - beat)! ;-)

    regards,
    tokai

after thinking about it, Hooligan won fair and square.

Well, have you even seen "the butterfly effect"? Hint: it's about going back in time to change some variables that affects the future. I choose this avatar to make it clear to any ignorant copycats that I went several years back in time and influenced the decision of MorphOS symbol to exactly the blue butterfly you have *copied* into your avatar. The blue butterfly is *mine*, I was *first*!

    :-P

Thanks for all the replies and welcomes.
I would probably be looking at a g4 pegasos - but at the moment I am looking for work, so I have to be careful with money.
It may be a few months before I actually buy the system. I might try and sell some stuff as well, before I bring any more computers into the house!
I look forward to chatting here on the forums, and getting hold of a Peg in the near future :pint:
